"After getting what I considered to be outrageous quotes from some of the well-known plumbers in Leonardtown, a friend suggested I call Matters and it was great advice. We needed sump pumps replaced in the crawl space and a hidden leak in the upstairs bathroom. Drew was out the next morning and quickly diagnosed and fixed the bathroom leak. "Had an emergent plumbing issue late on a Sunday night. Got a bit of a runaround from another bigger local company and decided to call Matters a little after midnight, and left a message with the service. At this point the other company said they could get to us at 7:30 AM on Monday. They later said it would be sometime between 9-6. While this was all happening we could not use any water and toilets had backed up into the house. Got a return call from Drew at Matters around 7:30 AM in the morning and he was very pleasant and actually apologized for not getting to answer my call (mind you that call was at 1215 AM and I didn't really expect anyone to answer). He made us his first priority and said he could be there by 9:30, and he was. As for the service, he could not help us because he found the issue was outside the house. He told us exactly what the issue was, made some recommendations on who to call, what to tell them we needed done, and roughly what to expect for a cost. Everything he told us to expect was exactly what ended up happening. On top of it all Matters did not charge us for coming out since they could not help. Drew was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. While they could not help us directly with this issue I trust if I call Matters again the service will be just as great. I would highly recommend calling Matters if you need plumbing help, I will be calling them again for plumbing needs when we get ready to start an upcoming bathroom renovation."

After speaking to Mike, he gave me an estimate that was 1/3 of the high-end estimate and 1/2 of the middle estimate. Talk to Mike, Drew was on call and at another job. He'd be by but late in the afternoon. Got a call about an hour later, Drew was on his way.
